Yes, completely. Quillo is a fully offline app. It never connects to the internet. Your notes are always available, even without a network connection.

All notes are stored locally on your device using Android's Room database. They never leave your device unless you manually export them.

You can lock any individual note with a 4-digit PIN or your fingerprint. Locked notes appear as a blank card in the list — the content is hidden until you authenticate. Your PIN is stored locally on your device and never transmitted anywhere.

If you forget your PIN and cannot use fingerprint authentication, locked notes cannot be recovered — this is by design to protect your privacy. We recommend using a PIN you can remember, or enabling fingerprint unlock as a backup.

Use the Export feature in any note to save it as a .txt file to your Downloads folder. You can also enable Android's automatic backup in your device settings, which may back up app data to your Google account.

Yes. Uninstalling Quillo will delete all notes stored in the app. Please export any important notes before uninstalling.

Quillo supports full Markdown. Use **bold**, *italic*, # Headings, - bullet lists, `inline code`, and ~~strikethrough~~. The formatting toolbar above the keyboard gives you quick access to all formatting options. Tap the preview button to see the rendered output.

No. Quillo is completely ad-free. There are no in-app purchases either. The app is free with no hidden costs.
